1. Will my project be queued for vetting before going live?
No, you are pitching your project directly to the crowd without our bias. However projects must comply with the rules.
2. How much money can be raised per campaign funding round?
The maximum funding per round is US$5000. Although a project can have subsequent campaign funding rounds.
3. Is there a funding threshold to be met to receive raised funds for my project?
No, any amount raised from campaign would be transferred, subject conditions and verification (valid and matching credentials).
4. How and when will I get the funds contributed towards my project?
Funds will only be transferred into a bank account, except in Rwanda. Transfers would be subject to verification (valid and matching credentials). Fund should be transferred within 2 weeks.
5. Can I list a project outside of Africa?
No, all projects must be based in Africa and undertaken by African citizens and/or legal residents with permits to legally conduct business.
6. How much can I contribute to a campaign?
The minimum contribution is US$5 (or equivalent).
7. Will my card and payment information be safe and secure?
All payment information and processing are securely handled offsite by our payment partner, Stripe for a world class data security outcome.
8. How can I report a suspicious project or activity?
Click on the report tab at the bottom of the page. Copy the URL into an email and send to report@seedstotrees.africa with a succinct note about your suspicion.
9. Why are some Africans countries not supported?
We currently support 26 African countries and we are striving for a continent wide coverage.
10. How will www.seedstotrees.africa crowding platform be of benefit?
By facilitating business/entrepreneurial education and by enabling and encouraging intentional and proactive ACTION.
11. Should I expect every project to be a huge success?
No, not all startups or business venture succeed. However creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem across Africa, with a growth-mindset and testing the market will help reduce unemployment and foster prosperity and success now and in the future.
12. How much are the fees?
We only charge a 5% fee on contributions, in addition to any fees from our payment partners. However creating an account and adding a project on www.seedstotrees.africa is free.
