I was born and raised in a remote disaster prone area in Ngabu, Chikwawa district, Malawi. Growing up in a poverty stricken family, prompted me to work extra hard in school. I obtained a Diploma in Education - Humanities and briefly worked as a secondary school teacher. Later, I joined the Civil Society advocating for the rights of marginalised groups particularly women, youths and children. Currently, I'm pursuing Bachelor of Development Economics at Lilongwe Univeristy of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) through ODeL mode of delivery. My new area of study has made me realise a thousand utapped possibilities to potentially transform lives of communities living hopelessly in abject poverty. I believe if communities area empowered and stimulated to take action, they can generate sustainable solutions to the challenges they face.
